For the first time in the U.S.,lottery players can now buy their mega millions and Powerball tickets printed on cash register receipt paper, also known as a Receipt Ticket. The Texas Lottery introduced this new in-line option of buying lottery tickets, a good alternative for the ticket purchasing process of lottery players. Currently, the lottery is offering this option in the Business Centres at participating H.E.B stores.

According to this option, when anyone makes a purchase at a cash register, players have the option to buy lottery tickets so that their Quick Pick numbers get printed directly on the receipt along with a lottery barcode which is valid for the next Powerball or Mega Millions drawing.

Currently, Megaplier and Powerplay features are not offered for the Receipt tickets. As per the Executive Director of the Texas Lottery, the In-Lane solutions simplifies the sale of lottery products for the retailer and make lottery products more accessible and convenient for lottery players.

The lottery players can easily check the winning status of a lottery ticket by just scanning the barcode at the bottom of the ticket using the Texas Lottery App. Implementation of the receipts at general cash registers means a smoother and more convenient purchasing process, eliminating a separate purchase at a lottery terminal.
