The present CEO of Tennessee Lottery, Rebecca Paul Hargrove will continue her term as President of the World Lottery Association, re-elected unanimously second time in a row for a period of two years.

World Lottery Association or WLA is an international organization comprising 154 official government-run lotteries and other licensed lotteries from approximately 85 countries. The WLA was established for the purpose of establishing relationships among official lotteries and setting and creating international standards for risk management and safety.

Before her appointment as the president of WLA, she has served for the organization as Senior Vice President and Chair of the Corporate Social Responsibility Committee, which is responsible for managing the continuous development and member accreditation of the WLA Responsible Gaming Framework. Before heading the Tennessee Lottery, she responsibly led the Florida, Georgia, and Illinois Lottery.

In a press release, Susan Lanigan the chair of the Tennessee Lottery Board Of Directors said that “Rebecca continues to blaze trails in the lottery industry, and lotteries across the globe will go on benefitting from her vast experience."

Hargrove is also known as the founder of the Women’s Initiative in Lottery Leadership (WILL), a program created on the format of mentor/mentee that works on supporting the professional development and advancement of women into senior positions within lottery management. Hargrove said that the ambition of this program is to pave the path for women in the lottery industry and realize their fullest potential. According to her, there is so much talent in the women of this industry and WILL is the perfect program to recognize it and bring it to the forefront.

In addition to these accomplishments, Hargrove heads all the offices of the North American Association of State and Provincial Lotteries (NASPL) and the Multi-State Lottery Association (MUSL). Currently, she is also serving as Chair of Sales & Marketing and Chair of Vendor Relations for NASPL.

On being re-elected as the president of WLA, Hargrove happily said that she appreciates the continued support from the members of WLA, and looks forward to continuing her hard work for WLA and sharing best practices so that the lotteries around the world raise money for good causes and their beneficiaries.
