James Wood, a retired trucker, stood shocked at his seat on Friday, after his name being called for the “second chance” win. The Little Egg Harbor man won a Jackpot of $1 million in Asbury Park Convention Hall at the New Jersey Lottery Million Dollar Replay event.
He stood so overwhelmed at his joy that he gave a tearful hug to his brother-in-law, Jeffrey Brook, who accompanied him to this mega event. Wood was also excited for the part that he would inform his 16-year-old daughter, about his major win.
He informed her that he is going to send a limo for her to pick her up from school. He also told the reporters that he is planning for two vacations now, the first one being Hawaii and the other one, being Disneyland. Wood is also planning to gift his brother-in-law a new patio.
The NJ Lottery Millon Dollar Replay Program offers the lottery players a second chance win! There were fourteen other winners along with Wood, who received cash prizes from $10,000 to $100,000.
The New Jersey Lottery Executive Director James Carey said that it is the 9th year that New Jersey Lottery has held this spectacular event to provide lottery players with second chances to win cash prizes with previously non-winning scratch-off game tickets.
