From June 24, 2020, Massachusetts Lottery Offices have opened their doors for large prize claims of $5,000 or more with some restrictions depending on the office location. According to the official information provided by the lottery the Dorchester, Braintree, New Bedford, and Worcester claim centers are open for claiming winnings of $5,000 to $99,999. The office hours of the lottery are weekdays from 8:45 am to 4:00 pm. The new claim procedure directed by the lottery is based on the last names or the players will have to take a prior appointment to claim your lottery winnings.
The players should gear up and follow a proper claim schedule according to the first letter of their last name. The lottery offices of Springfield and Woburn lottery offices are now open and are ready to process claims of $5,000 or more by appointment only.
The Massachusetts Lottery urges its winners to download, print, and complete the claim form prior to your visit to the lottery office. The players at the time of claiming should bring their signed winning ticket, completed claim form, government-issued photo ID, and proof of social security number.
Prize claims of $50,000 or less should still be submitted through the mail.
Players who want to claim prizes for $100,000 or more must call (781) 849-5555 and have a word with a Grand Prize Coordinator, who will help you schedule an appointment for claiming your lottery prize.
