Wyoming Lottery Is Introducing A New Keno Game This Week

Wyoming Lottery has officially added Keno into its chest of games!

On Sunday, the Wyoming Lottery launched its newest draw game, Keno, featuring 300 drawings a day, drawing every four minutes. The game is now available across all Wyoming Lottery locations and is best played in popular social establishments like bars, restaurants, and social clubs.

The game offers a $200,000 grand prize and lets players play up to 20 drawings simultaneously. The number of spots each player chooses to play (1–10), and they can either choose their own numbers from 1 to 80 or choose a Quick Pick, which uses randomly generated numbers. The maximum ticket price is $125, and bets vary from $1 to $20.

With being said, there is no restriction on consecutive draws for bets up to $5, with the maximum number of consecutive draws being 20. However, bets of $10 and $20 are restricted to 10 and 5 consecutive draws, respectively.

"This is a momentous occasion for us and Wyoming, and we are prepared!" According to a press statement from Lottery CEO Jon Clontz. "Keno is unlike any other game in our portfolio at the moment. It provides participants with a social and fast-paced way to play, which means they may enjoy a fun, new pastime in their favorite bar, tavern, or other local business."

Clontz also stated that companies will benefit from offering the game in a variety of ways, including not only the commissions they would collect but also the possibility of larger tabs from consumers and the likelihood that patrons will remain longer.

Clontz and Lottery Board of Directors Chairman Jim Willox explained, saying retailers receive a 6% commission on sales and an additional 1% on any winnings they redeem.

The CEO is also optimistic that the new game would boost Lottery earnings, bringing more money back to the state. The introduction of Keno allows the Lottery to expand into social businesses that previously did not carry Wyoming Lottery goods.

Keno will be available from 5:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. MT every day. Tickets are presently available for purchase.
