Washington Lottery Makes Changes To It’s Popular Hit 5 Lottery!

A week after Washington Lottery announced the rebranding of their “Daily Game” to “Pick 3”, the Lottery also revealed modifications for their popular game Hit 5, which will get into effect from August 30.

Currently, the Hit 5 drawings are held three times a week, and a chance to win a jackpot starting from $100,000. According to the changes made, the draws will be held daily with the top prize remaining the same that starts at $100,000 and increases $10,000-$20,000 with every roll.

The Washington Lottery has also planned some changes in the non-jackpot prize tiers. For matching four numbers, the lottery prize will be increased to $150 from $100, the prize for matching three numbers will be increased to $15 from $10, and matching two numbers will let you win a free ticket from $1. Whereas the top jackpot will remain the same as before - a progressive jackpot.

Adding more to it, the players will now have to select five numbers from a pool of 1 to 42, instead of 1 to 39. This change in the game matrix has resulted a change in the overall odds of winning, i.e., from 1 in 8.77 to 1 in 10.1. The drawings will continue to take place at 8:00 pm PT, and the cost of the ticket stays the same at $1 per play.
