Wisconsin Lottery was authorized in 1988 by the State Legislature and is run by the Wisconsin Department of Revenue. It is the second oldest lottery in the US. The Lottery is known to produce innumerable winners for games like Mega Millions, Powerball, Megabucks, All Or Nothing, Pick 3, Pick 4, Badger 5, Supercash, and many more. The Wisconsin Lottery is known to generate sufficient funds to support programs that benefit Wisconsin’s public schools. Originally Wisconsin Megabucks was known as "Wisconsin's Very Own Megabucks" to distinguish itself from the "local" name of Lotto America. Since its establishment, the game has been producing innumerable lottery winners to date.

The Wisconsin Department of Revenue governs the Wisconsin Lottery. The Department is responsible for the collection of taxes as well as valuing property and the wholesale distribution of alcoholic beverages and enforcement of liquor laws.
