The Tennessee Lottery started selling its lottery tickets in 2004. The Lottery is run by the Tennessee Education Lottery Corporation (TELC), which was created by the Tennessee General Assembly on June 11, 2003. The TELC stands responsible for the operations of the lottery and is deemed to act in all aspects for the benefit of the people of Tennessee. Since its establishment, the Lottery has generated over $5.25 billion for educational programs. The lottery encapsulates some really rewarding games like Mega Millions, Powerball, Tennessee Cash, Cash4Life, Cash 3, Cash4, Keno To Go, etc. that constantly run to fulfill the dreams of many lottery players.
The Tennesse Lottery is governed by the Tennessee Education Lottery Corporation (TELC) which was created by the Tennesse General Assembly on June 11, 2003. As per the state laws, a seven-member Board of Directors is appointed by the Governor which is confirmed by the General Assembly. The Board provides governance and sets the overall policy for the Lottery Corporation. The TELC is responsible for the overall operation of the lottery and is liable to act in all respects for the benefit of the people of Tennessee.
