The Georgia Lottery was established in November 1992 by the public of Georgia to enhance educational funding. The Lottery for Education Act created the Georgia Lottery Corporation (GLC) for the proper operation of the lottery. Currently, the Lottery offers approximately 11 draws, or computerized games, and 90 instant games. The plethora of games include Cash 3, Cash 4, Cash4Life, Georgia FIVE, Jumbo Bucks Lotto, Fantasy 5, Mega Millions, Powerball, Print n Play, and KENO. In addition to these the Georgia Lottery also offers online play with DIGGI games for players residing in Georgia. In its 27 years of operation, the GLC has experienced unprecedented sales reaching almost $80 billion, transferring nearly $22.7 billion to the State Treasury’s Lottery for Education Account.

Georgia Lottery also known as the Georgia Lottery Corporation is operated by the government of Georgia, United States. By law, half of the money produced by the lottery goes to prizes. One third to education and the remaining to operating and marketing the lottery. The money allocated for education funds the HOPE Scholarship. The lottery continuously works to improve their games, deliver products, and serve their customers. The lottery takes personal responsibility for reaching the Corporation's goal to maximize returns to HOPE and Pre-K.
